Moved to here by me.

I use wonderwheels btw, followed by a spray on wax.

Don't use wonder wheels too often though, as its wonderful on wheels and ****e on brake callipers.

Used Wonder Wheels for years now on all sorts of alloys.
Expensive (they all are?) but effective and easy.

do they all eat away at the varnish? - whenever i used wonder wheels in the past the shine eventually went from the wheels and made it harder and harder for them to be cleaned.

Meguires Hot Rims works well for me although I would say 90% of the solution is to clean them regularly to stop the build up and wax them afterwards so it makes it easier to get off..

Wonder wheels for me, but not too often, IMO it is a bit agressive and over a few years seemed to go through the lacquer on a set of rims I had..

Always finish off with a good coat of wax

Wonder Wheels is dilute concrete acid
Muc Off is far less aggressive on wheels and as effective as WW
Gunk is also effective.
Prefer to just use shampoo and clean them regularly.
