Recommended tyre pressures 225/40/18 ?

Default Recommended tyre pressures 225/40/18 ?

running 225/40/18 tyres on a 2003 blobeye. can anyone confirm the recommended tyre pressures. cheers

Depends on driving style really. With GSD3’s anything from 32 to 35 at front and 30 to 33 at rear seems to work well for most. I tend to run 33 all round for fast road use and 35+ for track.

Yep, me too 33 all round, that's what Prodrive recommend when you go to 18's.

cheers for the replies chaps. will give 33 a go all round.

fronts currently have 34, rears 32, and have been sliding about a bit on roundabouts!

Increasing the rear pressure will no doubt make this worse. Try to keep 3psi difference front to rear, the front having the higher pressure. I'd try dropping your rear pressure a touch, and maybe the front, until the roads are (consistently) drier.

On my WR1 there is a little silver Prodrive sticker where the drivers door shuts with the recommended tyre pressures for 225/40/18 of 33psi front and 31psi rear when running normal loads. I have stuck to these with no problems.
