You should replace buckled wheels, basically the strength has gone out of the wheel now, if you (try) to straighten it, it will just make it weaker.

The strongest shape you have is a circle, bend it and it looses that strength, repair it and strengthen it and it still wont be as good as a new one.
Its the metal thats been stressed, its like when you had those liquorice laces as a kid, totally red, stretch it and it goes white, thats the stress, though you may not see it, it is still there and with the cost of repairing and strenghtening, and the fact it wont be as strong as originally made as no matter what you do, its still stressed, the cost of a new one looks more and more desireable, plus if it cracks or the likes....
To me there are certain parts of the car you shouldnt skimp on, tyres/brakes/wheels, just the things that keep you on the road, but note, if that same wheel takes a similar knock after being repaired.... what do you think as its your money?

Would check geometry too. Normally a bent alloy includes a bent lower arm as well.
