I'll be needing some new tyres very soon & considering between Eagle F1 GDS3 XL & Toyo T1R. There was some problems on the Eagles with tyres splitting but doing an SN search I can't see if it was sorted with the XL load rating range.

 

I had one set with splitting on a classic in 215/40 17 a while back. I thnk they were 87W.
I've had 2 sets since, the last definitely in 215/45/17 91V XL with no splitting in sight when worn out (just replaced with same last week).
