Change discs when lip is how deep..?
Afternoon folks.
As my MY00 Classic approaches 44,000 miles I've noticed that the brakes don't feel as confident as they used to. I've also noticed that the front discs have a favourable lip, but don't know if there's a particular depth I should be watching out for. Does anyone know..?
I bought the car in January and Subaru fitted a set of new front pads onto the old discs. If I opt to replace then I'd be looking at new discs and pads which is sensible. At the moment I'm running Red Stuff pads on the back (with std discs) so would get the same flavour for the front probably.
Cheers,
Jonty.

Thanks for the replies. I suspect I'm c2mm wear using my ThumbGauge(tm) so it's time to replace. Brake components are relatively cheap to replace... cars aren't... and lives you can't.

Jonty.
