What tyre size to go for

235's?

or

245's?

Usual size for 18's is 225/40/18's

so they should be fine even though the rim is 8.5" wide?

Just to add 225/40/18 is for newage 215/35/18 for classics are the recommended sizes.

The tyres should fit on an 8.5" rim but may appear a little stretched depending on the make.
