Rear Brakes on classic

Rear Brakes on classic
Guys,
I drive a 4 door Sti 5 which has standard one pot brakes, I am thinking of upgrading to 2 pot subaru brakes as found on the Type R and P1, has anyone performed this upgrade? If so what results did you get and also how much did it cost. Basically my rear discs and pads need replacing anyway, hence looking to upgrade at the same time!
Cheers

Type R 2 pot rear calipers will fit but the discs will not as they had a 290mm disc with a 190mm drum. 22B's differ as well
P1's didn't have 2 pot rears but all newage cars have 2 pots.
Newage rears should fit as they have a 170mm drum so the discs should fit straight on.
You will obviously need the discs, pads and calipers but also a bracket to mount them, AFAIK Dyney was supplying these in a group buy recently

To be honest I really wouldn't bother with upgrading the rears. You would be hard pushed to notice any difference with such an upgrade. If you havn't already done so, upgrade the front brakes with either new discs and pads, or a kit from AP, Brembo, Godspeed etc.

Chris is right.
Most of the braking is done at the front. I would upgrade the fronts first, but if you have and still want to do the rears have a look in the GB section at the 2 pot rear upgrade thread
