Question refurbishment of Alloys

Hey guys and girls,

I have the O.Z superlegga's on my WRX bug-eye but I am thinking of having them tidied up some what and then sprayed.

I was thinking of getting them done in Anthracite with a Chrome looking finish on the rim. But in a way I do not want to de-face or tarnish the look of some nice wheels.

Does anyone know how much this will set me back and if anyone else has done this before.

Thanks

Steve

:-)

Thanks for the reply.

It maybe a case of me having to leave the car there as I do not have another set of wheels.

Does anyone have any pics out of interest with this kind of finish on there wheels?

R

You shouldn't have to leave your car there as they normally fit some temporary wheels so you can get home. They'll only be boggo standard steels but at least you get use of your car while the wheels are being refurbed. My dads just having his 18's refurbed and sprayed all for £50 per wheel...and thats with a bit of welding too on a damaged rim. Bargain! Its gonna take about 3 days.

Does anyone know of a good place to take my wheels to be done in the Heathrow / Walton On -Thames area?

After seeing V5-APS motor today I think I might go for a silver finish now.

I recently had a quote from Wickedwheels to do the same wheels for £200/4 or £120/2.
Its a mobile unit, so they'll do the work at your home (weekends as well) and take about 6hrs.

Hi Nick,

Are you in this area? A home visit would suit me no end. Do you have there number at all? And the £200 for all four is inclusive of VAT and labour?

Many Thanks

Steve

Steve,
I found them through recommendation on here and the website:
http://www.wickedwheels.co.uk/
Click on location to find out who is your local contact.
I think the price didn't include VAT.
The work was total refurb of the wheel and knocking out a small buckle.
The guy I rang (covers Northants) is very booked up though, so you may have quite a wait.

Cheers Nick.

Better give them a call in the next couple of days.

Thanks once again.

just had ours done at wicked wheels in crawley - utterly superb job....

stripped, acid thingy, kerbing and damage removed, powder coated, colour sprayed (gold - naturally) and lacqurederederd (spelling?) then baked.

the finish is stunning - to coin an mtv phrase - they are totally spank.

"rolling on da bling bling 16's "

Go to wicked wheels, you will NOT be dissappointed........
