Brake Pads - Recommendations please
Just been for a services, dealer reckons i need new pads all round, thats both front and back. They said they would do it for £270 fitted !....no thanks Mr Dealer.
Can anyone recommend any alternatives, i have been looking at EBC, are these any good ? Whats the difference between the green and red etc ?
Anyone know if its easy to fit the pads - could i do it on my own ?
Cheers

Hi
Green is not recommened by EBC technical for any Impreza Turbo, Redstuff Ceramic is the recommended compound.
Pads are fairly easy to fit, if you do a search on this forum, someone has been kind enough to list a step by step guide. However, if you are not confident or not sure, best to seek advice of someone that is or a mechanic.

The EBC pads work out at around £135 for a full set, which is a 50% saving against the main dealer. So i thinkts it well worth it to try it myself, i guess the worst case scenario is that i screw it up and end getting someone to come round and correct by botch :-)

I have just ordered the EBC Red Ceramice from ebcBrakesDrirect.com, i'll give them a go and see if i like them.
I have jest received an email from them, can anyone help me answer it ? I would have a look at the car myself, but the missus is away all weekend in it. Please advise:

Hi
Re you recent order below. Just want to check a few things with you.
We have had a few instances were the rear pad DP31293C has not been correct for this car. It has been pad number DP3826C.
Links below show technical diagrams for each. You should be able to see enough of the pad, while it is still in the caliper.

OR

Also, the front caliper, I am assuming standard 4 pot Subaru?
