spigots and Godspeeds.....
Folks...
I have godspeed 335mm disks fitted to my car and I've a problem..
The spigots fitted on the inside of my aerospeed alloys have an inner chamfer - this chamfer is wider than the amount of 56mm hub that pokes through the centre of the godspeed disk.
Does anyone else have this problem (or a solution)....
Should I be fitting 55mm i/d spigots, so that the non-chamfered part sits on the outer part of the hub, or 56.1mm (the 'correct' size) without a chamfer (and can these be bought anywhere ?)
Thanks,
Mark

apparently not - the wheel should sit on the hub - the wheel studs hold the wheel on, not support the weight of the car (or centre the wheel)....
I've run these disks for a year, but always find that the wheel balance goes off if the wheel is removed at any time - but comes back OK when the wheels are re-balanced - though the previous to last time, the spigots were replaced and that seemed to cure it (though I don't know what they were replaced with !) - I had new tyres last week and they've 'lost' one of the spigots, so replaced them with the 56.1 mm ones - and I can;t get above 50 without wheel vibrations - even though they've been balanced twice in two days !!!!
