Default Urgent race pad help please

I am in contact with performance friction in the US at the moment with a view to buying a set of compund 97 front pads from them. The guys stocks them for the STi7/8 but mentioned that they have 16mm of meat whereas he thinks the scoob only takes 14.5mm.
Do any of you have any idea what will and wont fit the MY03 STi? Are the brakes all the same on them? are the pad profiles all the same? Do any of you have a picture / drawing of a pad I can fax to the guy?

Any help would be appreciated........

Oh and please dont recommend other pads its the PF97 im after....

Have a look at my reply on our forum Dave ........ I think you will find im suitably fed up this evening

Poxy underbraked jap clutter ....... £2K for a big brake conversion, poke it up your wind pipe I would rather dry roast my head.,.........Its no wonder I love my 205 so much.

sorry for the outburst its just that to get anything even reasonable in the way of brakes on the scoob costs a fortune and then the lardy piece of clutter destroys it in a weekend ...marvellous........

Gary

stockcar man, I hope you can help me out tomorrow

why dont you just get the 16mm pads and have someone shave them down on a milling machine to the thickness you want ?

Assuming Brembo front caliper:

And yes, they are all the same.

Drawing is not to scale.

Thanks for your help Stockcar, very useful. Pagid RS29's for the front and RS19's for the rear on their way. Lets see how they feel and hold up.
