burning smell from front brakes
noticed a burning small this morning after driving over 10 miles in traffic - not 100%, but i think it was coming from both of the front wheel - both of the calipers + centre of the alloys were roasting - the back calipers were freezing - i think the pads are ok as they having started to squeal ? ( 99 UK turbo )
Any ideas anyone??

Are they the sliding calipers or the 4 pots?
Sliders will have a seized bolt or two which will just require freeing & regreasing. 4 pots a bit more tricky.
Could be the right hand front caliper braking which is pulling you to the right. Daz

its the newer 99 so they're the 4 pots...
after i got the new wheels, i had the thing laser aligned, the guy told he wasn't able to adjust the front right track rod end - took it to a mechanic who couldn't free it after heating it - said he needed to strip it !! i didn't bother, but it's really starting to **** me off - it causing the steering wheel to be a bit off as well...

Re brakes, take the pads out and see if the caliper pistons are free.
Re tracking if its bothering you there's only one way to sort it.
Time to get wallet out.
