Wonder Wheels is very good but make sure you rinse it off asap.

I use some stuff from a guy called waxwizard... got it off the golf mk4 forums although I think I have seen his name on here once or twice. Its an orange smelling stuff which is non acidic and therefore a lot better on the wheels than the wonder wheels stuff. I dilulte it to around 1:20 so it lasts for ages.

MC2 multiclean is the stuff --- do a search on here for it gets good results.

you can contact Mark Underwood (also his SN nick) AKA Waxwizard on 01752 700754 or was last time I looked

Very good stuff *edit* to update phone number and product name

Got to be Maguires Hot Rims. Great stuff, eats into brake dust and tar. It may need a little toothbrushing the first time, to get them clean, but after that it's spray on - wash off. I clean mine at a jet wash. Before I put the money in, run round each wheel, quick spray, then wash it off before cleaning the car.

Meguires for me too. My other car has white mulitspokes and nothing shifts baked on tar spots & yellowed brake dust like it. £6.70 in the pink squirty thing.
