Changing Drums To Discs - Is It Possible
I have a 98 Facelift Sport with loads of Prodrive extras. Unfortunatly it has drum brakes on the back. I have the OZ Prodrive P1 wheels in Anthracite and the drums look real pants with them. How hard (if at all possible) would it be to change them to discs and what work would this envolve? Also where could I get the parts to co the job? Thanks.

Yes it is possible, just done it to mine.
Call Grade A breakers and they will do you all the stuff you need for about £300ish plus p&p.
You will need...
rear hubs
calipers
discs
handbrake cables
brake lines
(mine doesn't have abs so i don't know what parts you would need for that but grade A should be able to help)
It will take between 4-8 hours to do so factor in the costs of getting someone to do it (unless you are **** hot at this kind of thing)
I must strongly recommend that you upgrade your front brakes to at least 2 pots before doing the conversion or you are just asking for trouble
follow the guide above and the links in the post and it should give you a pretty good idea, come join us on impreza sport as well you can get loads more advise on there

To be honest i would be inclined to spend your money on other stuff, front brakes, lowering springs, a rear antiroll bar kit yadda yadda.
It does help with the braking a bit but you only really notice when you really slam the brakes on, i've fitted 4pots on the front and it helps level the braking.
It does look a hell of a lot better though
Grade A's no. is 01663 744114
