Wheel bearing gone?
I have a noise coming from the rear of my car- I was thinking it was diff related.
But could it be a wheel bearing? The noise only occurs when off the throttle. No noise at all when car is under load (accelerating).
Car is MY00 60k miles.
Please help....

I have a similar problem on my car.
It's from the rear drivers side.
When off throttle, I get a squeal/metal to metal sound.
I had the caliper and brakes cleaned. There is no play on the wheel.
The discs are rusty and the pads I am using are Greenstuff. The mechanic reckons the discs are the cause or the brake pads compound is too hard for the std discs.
