Anyone recond a 4 pot caliper?

Anyone recond a 4 pot caliper?
Has anyone used the Subaru repair kit for the 4 pot calipers, I've got a leaky one and don't fancy paying the 400 bucks for a new one from Subaru!

I had to buy one (seal kit) at the weekend and it turns out I don't need it now. I had a sticking piston which has been fettled up now. Cost me £23 - a lot cheaper than a caliper!

Yep, I replaced all the seals in both my front calipers last year. Really easy job to do so long as you take your time, and remember to have spare brake fluid for when you put them back on and bleed the brakes.
Oh and wear rubber gloves, brake fluid is not good for your hands.

rubbish...............then i must not of recond. various calipers over the years with SUBARU parts...................

I had one - did it with my dad.
remove caliper and take pads out then press brake pedal to push the piston out (if it will) then you'll need a clamp to push it back in - it's just a case of working it until it's free again. Might be helpful to rub the piston down with fine wet&dry to clean it up a bit too.
Just be careful you don't press the brakes too much and pop the piston out.
