Discs in oven..
I saw somewhere that....... if you.
1. wash your NEW discs in soapy water,
2.let them dry and get a slight coating of rust,
3.then put them in the oven at 200c for an hour ( don't forget to baste them )
4. take them out and rub them down with a brillo pad to remove the sweat
5. repeat whole process again.
This will cure the metal so as to remove any stress left over from the casting process and possilbly give you a better disc....

Er.. Have you thought of putting them on your car and bedding them in the more conventional way ?
If I did all that lot, I'd want to eat them afterwards.
Bringing them gradually up to temperature by braking (not baking)progressivley harder removes any thermal stresses. Daz

We know, thanks anyway, Ive been doing it on a massive scale for Brembo for 18 months now, Im making a fortune.
I had a company called de-codes,but it went bust.
Did you know if you put a coded sterio in the freezer for 24hrs, you still need to get it de-coded.
