new discs

Default new discs

i am running in a set of grooved discs,done a hundred miles of non aggressive braking but there seems to be a sheen in middle of discs-just needing a few hard brakes i take it?

Don't be too scared of using them a bit harder now they've done a few miles. They should be a nice even blue/grey colour all over once they're properly bedded in, which indicates the correct heatsoak and pad transfer.

Start braking firmly from about 60-5mph letting them cool inbetween, for about 6 or 7 stops, (about the same as stopping in traffic).
Just be careful not to comitt the cardinal sin of coming to a standstill with stinkin' hot brakes like at a T junction, as it'll warp em.
