Talking help the newb please

Hi all

Just got my first scooby - it's a bug-eye wrx wagon and i have to admit it's got me rather converted from 2 wheel drive beemers in this weather.

I'm new to the whole AWD thing so is it essential to replace all 4 tyres or can i do a pair at a time - won't this bother the diffs if i do just two?

I've got a pair of unused 225/45/17 pilots from my old car, i take it i can't use these on one axle and the 215/45/17's on the other?

One last question, my mate has a full set of 235/40/17 contis just lying around would these fit the 17x7jj wheels on the car, has anyone else done this and i guess more importantly would it affect the handling.

Any help appreciated as would like to get my tryes sorted for this weather and get out to play.

.

i wouldn't use different sizes if i were you. best to replace all 4 at once with the same make/type tyre.

i've always changed all 4 at once on my scoob, but then again i've got 4 different makes on my 205 gti

cheers matt, and welcome to SN, and scoob ownership.
