Angry Who can diagnose my brake problem

My car is currently using the crappy sliding 2 pot calipers supplied on pre 98 models.

The problem is that the front N/S caliper appears to be binding and after the trip to / from work the disk gets smoking hot. The O/S disk runs at normal temps.

I just assumed that the slider mechanism was gummed up and not releasing properly.

Took it all apart when cold and found that the caliper slides back and forth smoothly, as do the pistons........
Put it all back together and went out for a spin where I realised that the problem only occurs after the brakes get warmed up. (When the brakes are cold - all is well) This has only ocurred in the last couple of days.
Figured that I must somehow have some air in the brake lines that was expanding as things warmed up - thereby pushing on the pistons.
Bled the brakes - clean fluid......no air !!!
Problem remains !?

What could be causing this problem ?

I intend to do a Godspeed big brake swap soon - when funds allow, but I need a quick fix to tide me over until then.

Any suggestions, greatly appreciated.

Ta

Tim

sticky pads in calipers?? build up of pad debris causing pad 'bind'??
or simply not enough "free play" in the calipers even though they move when cold??
