Default Anyone using Pagid 4.2.1 ?

I need new pads and want to know what you think of Pagid 4.2.1's. Have an 03 WRX and my last pads lasted 5 weeks - great track day though :-)

Are they noisy pads, produce excessive brake dust, work well when they're cold - anything you don't like about them.

Thanks for any advice / comments.

Had 2 sets. Not noisy, they are dusty (but no more than most) and they work very well from cold.

Yes I have these pads on STI02 and they work excellently for me, will use them again on future cars. Massive improvement over standard pads.

I have to disagree with Slowboy mine do squeel from time to time at slow speeds but not excessively noisy.

they are designed as a high performance road biased pad (though will cope with light track work no problem)...................if you are doing trackdays reguarly then there are possibly better options, but as an "all rounder" its about as good as it gets

marginally more friction/temp/life ability than say Ferodo ds2500, but with improved "cold bite" and a flatter friction profile.................

Alyn,
When i used a set of thes recently, the brakes were simply astounding, but it would seem that instead of creating dust, the crap just stuck to the disc, and when I put my 'road' pads back, it juddered like crazy, ended up cleaning the discs with wet and dry! fine now though!

pad deposits are quite common if you are running "on the edge" of the temp. ability..................would always recomend 'scouring' the disc when swapping between pad types with some fine wet'n'dry...............

I must agree with grobby that they squeal at low speeds, they are getting on my neaves a bit. The stopping power is very impressive. I will still use them in future for track days.
