Copperslip on the back plate, the bit where the piston pushes against the pad.

You could try rubbing the leading edge of the pad off, that's the bit at the of the pad at the bottom of the caliper! just put a slight taper on it, sometimes that helps! oh, and copperslip!

Yes I was careful to drive slowly for the first couple of hundred miles, it did not start straight away and it does not squeel all the time.

You can get copper grease is a spray can from Halfords - worked a treat for me and I didn't have take the pads back out to apply it.

dirty calipers??..............old pad debris can cause the pads to 'bind' and not release properly, does it do it at all speeds, slow, when cold or hot??
