Default Having to resort to extreme measures!

Last night when bleeding my rear brakes, jacked up the car, took the wheel nuts off and to my amazement, no matter how hard i pulled at or kick the wheel i could not get it off, had to resort to hitting the back of the wheel with a sledge hammer and bit of wood.

The back of alloy and front of hub have now been copper greased for a bit easier dismantling next time i hope.

Was the same for both wheels, only fitted 17" OZ alloys about 4 months ago so wheels have been off then, has anyone any ideas what has caused this and has it happened to you before as dont fancy getting a puncture and having to have a sledge hammer in the boot of the car as a safety measure ?

the metal difference alloy against steel causes a corrosion that makes the wheel stick.

this is a dead common problem and would be a royal pain the **** on the hardshoulder in the drivin rain at midnight.

You've sorted it by using Copperease on the surfaces
