Eagle F1 GSD3's vs. Toyo proxes T1S
Anyone got any comments on how the Toyos rate against the F1s on their Scoobys?
I have used F1 GSD2's followed by 3s and I find them absolutely excellent, wet and dry - grip is exceptional, and loss of traction very gradual.
I am getting a new set of wheels, and the F1s, with the wheels, will cost me an extra £100+. I am wondering are they worth it.
My missus has Toyo Proxes on her Focus (FWD running around 160 Bhp) and in the wet I find them absolutely atrocious - but not sure if this is due to the set up of the car, and the difference in traction from what i'm used to (4WD + low centre of gravity), or that Toyos are crap in the wet.
How do you rate Toyos, particularly wet performance against the F1s?????

God, this could run and run ........
Personally, I hated the Toyo ProxeS T1-S's I had fitted on my car. Ran them in 17's, but moved back to Eagles with my new 18" wheels.
General wet weather grip is far greater than the Toyo's, which seemed to break away at ridiculously slow speeds.
Both aqua plane pretty badly in my experience with standing water, but that's probably because I was going far too fast
Just my own personal opinion

Had a set of Toyo T1-S on my last wagon, good dry grip .. OK in peeing down weather ... absolute rubbish on damp roads .. very un-impressed ... back end breakaway at any more than 10 mph on tight bends ... try the F1's.

Just got rid of T1s on mine which were atrocious in the wet. Must be scary without AWD.
Now have GSD3s which I have had before. It has rained constantly since getting them and I'd forgotten how fast you can drive with them on in the rain
I am now primed and ready for winter

GSD3's are excellent tyres, maybe a litlle too soft on the sidewalls but that is the price for extreme roadholding in the rain.
On the other side, I run now PZeroCorsa's and they have much stiffer sidewalls, car feels more conected to to tarmac, less bodyroll or tyre movement and even better roadholding, even in the rain.
