Lightbulb Is it Correct ??Help

Just upgraded to 4 pots on my 97
Just 3 questions to put my mind at rest
When i fitted the 4 pot calipers there is no locking device or lugs on the caliper unlike the 2 pots where there are a couple of lugs on the casting so the pipe runs through and stops it from moving should anything come into contact with the pipe.
The pipe just bolts onto the 4 pot and could move if knocked ????? IS this correct?????
ALSO the pad wear indicator am i rite in thinking it fits on the outer pad ???not the inner as i know the pads were slightly different in shape at the bottom but they could be fitted inner or outer in the caliper?????
ALSO the steel rattle shim that you fit after the pads are in DOES the bulge go to the bottom or top ??????
Not sure if any of these are important which way you fit them but its always best to ask the ones that know
Thanks in advance guys

Just checking mine, the brakeline is held on to the caliper via a banjo joint and then supported by the strut with a enough 'slack' to turn the wheels.
The bulge is at the top.
Don't know about wear indicators

Alas someone with some knowledge

I was beginning to think you were all numptys LOL

So the hose just bolts on through the union with no locking lugs\clips or anything..
The anti rattle shim plates buldge is at the top
The wear indicator is on ?????????? inside pad or outer ??????????

Default Surely someone knows...looks not

Have seen various ways of these front pads being fitted
WHICH IS THE CORRECT WAY ?????
Theres pics showing the pad wear indicator on the inside and outside of the caliper.......it will fit either
Theres pics of the rattle shim with the bulged part at the top and at the bottom.............it will fit either
And no one seems to know if the banjo union just bolts straight onto the caliper or DOES IT HAVE any kind of securing device................On the 2 pots theres a lug built into the casting.............
Is there anyone who really knows ??????

Woman driver,
The hose just bolts on, no lugs, no brackets, as long as you've got the bracket in the centre of the hose through the strut slot, then it's right.
The wear indicator i'm pretty sure can go inside or out, whatever.
The anti rattle thing is the same, although I think my bulges are at the top, doesn't make a whole load of difference.

And one last point that hopefully doesn't need pointing out, the bleed valve on the caliper goes on the top! not the bottom, air rises, not sinks!!

Enjoy!

I'd put the wear indicators on the inner pad as they're more difficult to check - also they wore down quicker than the outer on my set-up.

The hoses just bolt on to the caliper..
The wear indicator is on the inner pad just as butty said you can see the outer..
The anti rattle plate goes with the buldge at the bottom..
They could fit either way but this is supposed to be 'subarus' way LOL

You can see a caliper here
