Can someone tell me if i have the discs rotation correct

I have a photo of a subaru WRC car on my desktop which shows them running the grooves in the other direction- but I'm really not sure how much difference it makes in the real world.

Is Mike Wood around this evening- if anyone knows I'm sure he will!
