Question <<<HELP PLEASE WHICH TYRE AND SIZE>>>

My tyres are now in need of replacing and I would like to know what people recommend..

Toyo (T1-S T1-R)
Pirelli (Pzero)
Bridgestone (SO3 RE040)
Goodyear (Eagle F1)

Any other choices

Also what size..I have P1 17" alloys with 205/45/17 Pzero's

Do I keep the same size or go to 215/45...205/40...215/40 (would these all fit ??)

Any comments would be really appreciated

Thanks

Simon

What car? 215*40 is 'standard' for a Classic and 215*45 for a Bug-Eye.

215/40/17's would be your best choice. The Goodyears are superb in the wet, the Toyo's are a good all round tyre (the T1-s was also good in the wet, just not as good as the Goodyears), the T1-R is supposedly even better all round, so should be good to try out.

Stay away from the Bridgestones unless you get the RE070's, I've not heard great reports about them and they're not best value for money really.

If you get the PZero's, the Nero or Rosso versions are quite good (but not as good as the Goodyears in the wet again).
