Question Godspeed AP conversion?

Does anyone know how this compares to APs own version?
Is it just the discs that are different?
Also why are they 335 and not 330mm?

They use there own discs , bells and brackets to go with the AP calipers , the discs are slightly bigger at 335mm but are much thicker at 32mm , AP are 28mm so the thicker discs can take more heat , good especially for track use , but also much cheaper to replace when needed

the actual disc bit (that does the braking) is a ring, then an alloy "bell" is loosely bolted to it to form the centre and this is the bit that goes on the hub. Its done this way to allow for the heat and thermal expansion

Godspeed kit is both quality and very good value, but the disc is at the heart of every braking system and AP-Racing make the best. Best material, best design for cooling.

The AP-R discs for Scoobs are 28mm as this is all you need. They will run all day at Donington, and that is the toughest circuit for discs in the UK. AP-R of course make 32mm discs (for the heavier Skylines) but why carry all that extra unsprung weight when you don't need to?

Godspeed also supply AP-R discs. I believe Ian runs them on his rally car.

Richard.
