Default prodrive 330mm brake kit on 01wrx

has anyone had this kit fitted?
is it any good?
does the kit contain just discs and calipers or does it include pads, brake hoses and revised brake balance valves etc.?

Yep,got it on my 01WRX....
The kit includes:

Braided lines
Brackets
Disks
Calipers (Which are huge!)
Pads

Brakes are nice and progressive too and when you stamp on em they really haul you down from speed!!

Some pics of em fitted to my motor here

Good luck

thanks for the information.
the USA Prodrive site recommends upgrading the rear brake pads with this kit.
did you have this upgrade done?

I didn't initially but on heavy braking the front of the car felt like it nose dived a little and the back used to sit up so to speak so I changed the back pads too (Bought Ferodo DS2500's from Alyn at ASPerformance.com)
It now feels a LOT better under similar conditions and the car seems to 'squat' when braking heavily...

Nice looking kit.

What are the prices like for replacement pads/disks?

Dave.

I had the Prodrives from new and the ABS was going off with very little braking for the first 1000 miles - I guess the new tyres weren't scrubbed enough.
I've also upgraded the rear pads with some of Alyns finest pads (Textar £35) and its stopped the rear getting very light and squirming around.

I was given a rough cost by the dealer of £550 for new discs and pads but will be part of the Subaru maintenance contract on mine - phew.

The fronts can be substituted with DS2500 pads but I haven't heard who can do the Alcon discs. Perhaps there's an alternative bell & disc setup out there that can be used?
