Front brake pads - how many shims should I have?
Decided to strip the front brake pads out and clean the calipers. Oddly on one brake I have one 'vented' stainless steel shim between each pad and the caliper, but on the other brake I have 2 shims on each pad, one of which is vented the other soild. Confused... should there be one or 2 on each side? vented or solid?
Also, not sure if it matters which way around the pin retaining 'spring' plate goes, should the 'hoop' be towards the top of the caliper, bottom or either? on one brake it was one way round, opposite on the other!. Any advice appreciated!

Not sure about the spring, because I thought the loop on mine was in the middle (MY03).

I am pretty sure the OEM pads come with the shims included, but none of the aftermarket pads do, I'll give my local Scoob dealer a call, he may even have a spare set knocking around the workshop (heres hoping!!)
