225/40/18 F1s fitted this afternoon.

I be getting confused about all this tyre sizes, what is the best size of tyre to use with 18" prodrive wheels as i am away to get 225/40/18 F1s fitted this afternoon.i have standard suspension and they r going onto myRB5.

Those are the ones I've fitted to my Prodrive 18 PFF7s, but they're running on an STi8, I believe they are also the right profile for the RB5, but not 100% sure

I thought 215/35/18s were the correct size for a classic.

225/35/18 were the size fitted on the P1 18" wheels and are what i've got fitted.

215 will look stretched on the rim and 225/40 will give a slightly higher side wall.

225/40 seem a popular choice, some people have rubbing problems, most don't.

personally i'd go for the 225/35 as this is what they are supposed to be on a classic
