EBC pads and discs
Probably going to need a change of discs and pads soon and I was looking at the EBC site at their grooved discs and red pads for a my99.
Already seen one or two comments about the green pads but impression seems to be that the new red stuff pads are better.
Any other comments about these and the discs as replacments?
Thanks

I think EBC gear used to get a lot of bad press, but imo they've sorted themselves out and I couldn't be happier with the brake setup.
Have to take it easy for the first couple of minutes driving as the Red pads need toget some heat into them before they start to work well.
They certainly seem to scrub the speed of well enough for me :-)
Only issue I've had is bad brake fade, but I think this is down to my weeny 2 pots more than the rest of the setup!
Oh - and one final note; the discs do make a slight noise when you brake, I think it's to do with the grooves in etc. Not a squeel or anything like that - just a quiet *whir* kinda noise.
Can't really comment on brake life - but 3000 miles and no issues thus far :-)

done the fronts yesterday , back ones are on order , also doing goodridge hoses and 5.1 dot fluid , about 550 all in , well worth it.

i'm still bedding me front 1's in at the moment and by the time they're ready i'll be fitting me rears along with the lines and fluid , so i cant really comment for a couple of weeks
but they look mighty fine i must say
and the ceramic pads give hardly any dust at all
so i gave my wheels a good clean on the inside as well
hopefully they may stay clean lol
doubt it tho ;-)
