Default Right then, for all you brainy people.......................

Ok guys

I have now got the 19" OZ Super Leggras on the P1 and they look absolutely MASSIVE! I will post pictures soon.

But there are a couple of questions I'd like some brainy person to answer:

Looking forward to all your answers and any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

      Thanks

The bigger wheels will knock your speedo accuracy out. Regarding the arches, rolling is where the inner lip on the arch is rolled flate against the wing itself, i.e you will have no protrusion on the inside of your arches. This is done using a metal wheel which clamps on to the centre of your wheel hub and presses the lip flat. You can also get around it by changing the offset of your alloys.

Your original tyre diameter was 607.7mm (when brand new) and is now 633.1mm. That means that your speedo will now read 4.2% slower than before.

Why did you not go for 215/30/19s? That would have been virtually identicle (0.6mm difference in diameter).

P.S. I'm guessing your rubbing problem is because the new wheels are wider than the old ones?

That's correct, the are wider hence the different offset. I wanted 215x30x19 but didn't for a couple of reasons:

      1. Very hard to get a hold of.
      2. Very expensive.
      3. It wouldn't have made a difference on the wheel hitting the arch, it'll still do it because of the offset.

You might wanna try removing the rubber trim from the lip of the wheel arch first, this will give you an extra few mil clearance for free.
