Default Spraying wheels

Anyone got some good sites to spray my wheels

I have the PFF7s in gold which im getting bored with now as see so many scoobs with gold wheels. So want to get mine sprayed a nice silver. ANy ideas whats a good company?

Didnt like black wheels on a black scoob so thats out the questions

And dont think anyone wants to swap their silver wheels for my gold ones (must be PFF7s)

So any ideas?

Don't know if this is of any use m8 but when I got my PFF7s & springs done at Wilsons they had a display near the entrance about wheel refurbing.

Can't remember prices but they listed several different finishes.Best give Martin a ring on 020 8590 0087 for details if any good for you.

i did mine myself with halfords areosols

ive did many sets, costs next to nothing

these wheels cost me £80 without tyres and came in a nice silver/kerbed to death coating

cost me under £20 to paint all 4 of them and repair them, and they turned out pretty nice

A - i would f*ck it up
B - There is no B, i would f*ck it up and i wouldnt want to be the first person to spray Prodrive wheels and bugger them up and then have to fork out money to get them repaired to try and sell them. lol

Just 'normal' aerosols?
Presume you coat with a lacquer afterwards?

If u are any where near Littleknocks (Harefield) then give Chris a ring 01895 822665. I'm sure they'll do any colour you want at a competative price.

ok

theres 2 main types of wheels

the type i have now without a rim lip
and sumthing like the 5 spoke sti rims with a lip

if your wheels have a lip, remove the tyre and use sumthing like a file to file all the crap away, i wouldnt recomend that you try and build it back up, just file it all down smooth so it doesnt look kerbed any more and respray in a normal body pannel style

wheels without a lip
remove tyre, and get sum sandpaper or simmiler and start sanding down!!

get as much damage out as you can with the paper, you would be suprised on how much you can get out with just the paper itself, and big scratches or simmiler will have to be filled, deep ones can have a touch of fibreglass put in and then a quick skim of filler, light ones, just fill them and prime/repaint

if the wheel is blatently square or cracked, then i wouldnt even attempt it, but light cosmetic scuffs are a doddle to fix, ive had people telling me that wheels should be repaired with chemical metal and all kinds of stuff, a scratched wheel is no diffrent from a scratched wing when it comes to fixing the look IMO

the only problem ive ever had was that the paint flaked on the black 5 spokes shown above, but this was down to my paint job, as i only bought the rims to tart up and sell, its just that when i was forced to fit them (i kerbed my standerd wheels badley) i relised they looked pretty dam nice, so i kept them )
they have scince been repainted properlly

yes i used a laquer, as its just normal areosol metallic paint, and needs a coating to protect it

the coating you see on the majority of alloys is paint anyway, its not like your rubbing down sum secret covering or sumthing
