Question STi 2003 Tyre Pressures

I've just taken delivery of an STi model year 2003 with the standard 225 Bridgestone Potenza Tyres. The panel on the car states that the tyres should be 230 KPa on the front and 190 KPa on the rear, based on my calculations this works out at 33.5psi front and 27.5 psi rear.

27.5psi on the rear seems quite low, do people actually use these manufacturer recommended pressures.

I live in Milton Keynes and I've noticed a couple of threads where people recommend higher pressures due to all the roundabouts. 10 to 15% has been mentioned but adding 10% that would equate to approx. 37 on the front (!) and 30 on the rear.

Sorry if this has been dealt with 100 times before, I'll keep searching the forum.

Cheers

Si

Wink

33 front, 31 rear. I think your 10% calc on the front was a little adrift!

OK thanks.

Unless my 'SUMS' is crap 33.5 + 10% = 36.85 in old money!
