Is a W speed rating OK for tyres on Scoob
Just got a quote from Black Circle for new tyres Pirelli PZero Nero 225/40 R18 for my MY02 STi Type UK - price £124.64 for W rating. They do not appear to have ZR rating.
Is a W rating tyre OK for my Scoob (Black Circle's online advice on speed ratings isn't working)?
Also does anyone know what discount Black Circle gives for SIDC members?
Alan

W is rated upto 168mph, so you should be OK
As an alternative My Tyres are doing 225/40 R18 Goodyear F1s for £114 delivered (not fitted). Personally I preferred these to the original Pirelli's which had a nasty tendancy to tramline after relatively low mileage.

My 225/40/18 Michelin Pilot Sports II have the same speed rating, the only negative effect is that they need more time to reach working temps but bear in mind Pilots have softer compund than Neros!
