What improved my brakes so much?
#1
I have the Brembo/AP front set from Scoobysport. Yesterday I had the 30k service, had new 5.1 fluid and also had the rear pads replaced with Prodrive rears.
The brakes seem alot better now and the brake pedal feels firmer. Any idea what has caused this improvement? Is it the new fluid or the pads?
If the fluid could it have been because of air in the brake system, that I could have fixed by bleeding the brakes?
thanks,
greg

I have always found that bleeding the brakes makes them feel better, you just get used to what you've got. There was probably no air or anything in the old fluid, maybe a bit of dampness.

Its a combination of both.
New pads will mean there is much less fluid in the system (the pistons are retracted) and what fluid there is, is nice and fresh.
