Default Help, problem replacing front pads.

Tried today to replace the front pads on MY99 Classic.

However one off the pots has seized and I’m wondering how to go about stripping it down in order to free it off.

Any help appreciated apologises if it’s came up before but I’ve tried the search with no joy.

WD40 or another rust-easant & let it soak a while.

You *might* be able to free it with a large screwdriver or spanner but try & let the WD40 do it for you as you risk scoring the piston and possibly damaging the seal if you really force it.

Once its freed up, then pump it in and out a few times to get it used to being free again but don't forget to put pads or simillar in as you risk popping the pistons out!

If that does not work, then you are going to have to strip down the piston completely and clean, probably needing new seals. Bit of a messy job, then you have to bleed it again.
