Cool Which Brakes?

Hi all

Need to upgrade discs and pads on front of 94 WRX Import.

I have 17" and was told that i should increase the disc size due to this. Have massive amount of vibration during braking at the mo'. Think the discs are warped. Still has standard set-up all round.

Anyway, without spending stupendous amounts of cash to upgrade, what set-up would give me a nice balance between performance and cost?

Any help would be much appreciated.

thanks all

I have a 96 wrx import and have just purchased a nice set of brembos with 335mm discs braided cables and ferodo ds2000 pads from Ian godney at £850 in a group buy. ian will still take orders in the group buy (i Think). see the group buy forum and look under brembo group buy.

cheers

Option 1
Get some second hand subaru 4 pot callipers, try for sale secrtion on here/post on wanted sectioin or breakers yards like grade-a. Bigger diameter Standard discs to suite the new callipers (296mm I think) or grooved if you can afford it with some pagid pads. These pads are not the cheapest but they are very good (£100+). Braided hoses are good if you can afford it too (£50-£60 a set)

Option 2
Godspeed do various kits from £500 upwards. They are pretty good I had a set of the brembo 308mm kit very good once bedded in stop you from 3 figure speeds no problem.

Option 3
If you are on a real budget try just the braided hoses new discs and a set of upgraded mintex/ferodo pads and some nice clean brake fluid.
