I have the gold five spoke 16" STi 5 spoke wheels and am hoping that somebody can tell me how wide they are? I have 205/50/16s on at the moment, could somebody tell me if I can get 215s on there comfortably please?

Thanks Rikki

Standard gold rims are 7". 215's will fit, but you will need to go down to a 45. It's probably better to get a set of 17's, as you can then have 215/40/17 tyres. I think you will find that not many companies make tyres in the 215/45 size, as people fitting this width of tyre usually go for a lower profile. Hope this helps.

Thanks very much. A friend of mine said that going down to a 40 would maintain the same rolling radius - is this not right? 45 is the one to go for?

40 is right for a 17" rim. I'm not too sure about 16" rims.

Tyre sizes to keep correct radius:-
205/50/16 (Standard)
205/45/17 (Not many available)
215/40/17 (Most common)
