Hi M8,
If you want your car to handle well, then don't put on the BFGoodrich.I work for Tyres Northampton,so I should know what I am talking about.
The BFGoodrich as far as I am concerned is a very cheap alternative and you won't get the road holding and mileage as you would expect,.Don't compromise, buy either Goodyear F1,Bridgestone SO2/3 or toyo T1S,these tyres will give you what you expect from your car.
Regards MARK(TYRES NORTHAMPTON)

Thumbs up

Chizzer Thanks for your reply.
I took your comments on to my local supplier who was surprised and said that everyone who had fitted the tyres had been very satisfied.
He was so convinced that he said that I could have a set on and if I was not happy he would replace with other tyres with full credit for the Goodrich's.
I have taken him up on tis offer and certainly after my first weekend with the tyres trying them out!!! I am very happy with them they seem as good if not better than the old F1's
Thanks for your reply though it helped me to get the sale or return offer

John

I was very dissappointed in a Scooby I drove last week. A guy had it in for a service and was complaining that the back end just snapped away on corners and he thought he might have a geometery or shock problem. No problem only that he had a pair of BF Goodridge tyres on the back.

Let us know how you get on as there might be different models?

Paul.

The tyres fitted are Profiler G 205/50R1687V
I believe this is a relatively new spec

V-rated is only up to 135mph. I thought you were required to get tyres that are within rating at teh maximum speed of the car (i.e. for a Scoob at least Z or W).

I have been reliably!! informed that the current speed rating of tyres is:-
H rating 130mph
V rating 149mph
W rating 168mph
These are all based on full load conditions so V rating should be OK for Scoob
I understand that the old VR rating was 130mph+
