Thumbs up New brakes fitted- Opinions.

Got my new rear brakes fitted now. EBC Turbo Grooved & Spotted discs and Green Stuff pads. Been down the by pass and round York and the brake pedal feels alot firmer, plus the car feels alot more stable. Pretty pleased wih them.

We at ebc would always recommend redstuff front and rear
we have had problems with greenstuff see previous threads
also we have tried to educate our dealers to only sell redstuff for impreza

As i have only fitted them to the rear i didnt want them to over power the fronts, hence i went for green.

Edited to add it wasnt made cear how suitable Red Stuff pads were for general use.

He presumably means the rounded "dimples". Think golf ball (although fewere of them) and you're along the right lines.

Presumably the intention is to create an area in which cook-off gases can accumulate without creating the stress concentrations that drilling all the way through creates.

Whether it actually works or not I'd hesitate to comment on, but I suppose it makes them more attractive on a point of sale stand.

Yeah Greasemonkeys spot on. According to the site and the box they came in, it states they work in the same way as drilled discs but without the risk of potential cracking.
