And how to get them.
Nearly a month ago I started the train of events with a local tyre gadgee who was "happy" to do the job, 2 x of the above tyres, £190 fitted VAT etc. Except he couldn't get them, arsed me about in traditional Britsh business fashion not ringing me back when he said he would and so on. Tried a couple of other locals whjo didn't quote daft prices, but both fessed up straight away and said they couldn't get them as those tyres were on back order at Goodyear. OK.
Thought I'd give site sponsors Tyres Northampton a call (and I live in Lancs!) and spoke to Mark. No problem getting them £80 plus VAT and £7 ish for carriage to me. Told the tyre bloke so he could fit them, he said he'd ring me back and guess what......
Anyway ordered the tyres from Mark on Monday, he dispatched them to me Tuesday and on Wednesday.......one tyre turned up. Spoke to Mark who discovered the carrier had "lost one". Zoiks!
Good enough Mark at Tyres Northampton sent me another one the same day and I got it Thursday. Saturday got 'em fitted, balanced valves etc. (bunged the bloke a tenner).
Net result just over £200 all ship shape and Bristol fashion, mucho peace of mind now the "slicks" are gone and a huge vote of confidence to TYRES NORTHAMPTON for a top job and excellent service. Cheers Mark (and Malc).

are u on about goodyear eagle f1s? the cheapest i could find 205/50/16 were for £130 from a bloke 'in the business'
can u get me the number of this other bloke, might b able to get them even cheaper!
