Cool

I've got the exact same setup as you mate, Leda B and Compo MO's in 8x18 ET50.

I'm still waiting for the wheels...(the usual UK-Sweden-delay).

A mate of mine has these wheels on his scoob, which happens to have the Leda B kit on as well. With 215/40x18 P7000's (he couldn't get 35's back when he got his), he had to shim the rear ones out 1 mm (that's one mm) otherwise the tires would rub on the strut. Otherwise everything is kewl, 'cept for the occational rub on the right front inner wing when giving it stick...which seems to be faulty somehow.

I've ordered P7000's in 215/35x18 for my wheels, they're 2 cm's shorter in overall diameter, and I think that´ll do the trick.

Time will tell though, I expect my wheels to be on the car late March.

225's as per recommended by Compomotive (even had an argument with them) won't fit in the rear arches on a Leda equipped scoob, even with a crowbar.

Edit... Another thing...215/35x18 is just below 205/50x16, and 225/35x18 is just above, both work great.

Thanx Jerry, your info was very helpful.

Are there any other tyre brands, apart from Pirreli, that offer 215/35/18 or 225/30/18??

You see wheels are no problem for me, being a Compomotive Wheels disrtibutor here in Cyprus, but tyres, which is difficult to find in those sizes.

I've found 3...
Pirelli P7000 in 215/35x18
Toyo Proxes are said to be available in 215/35, and Falken's got a 215/35 as well.

With stock struts 225's could work if ET is around 53 (as with the P1 7.5x18" wheel), but then (according to Prodrive) the only tire that'll work is the P-Zero.

I've got a Q for you mate...will the stock nuts work with the Compo MO's, or will I have to get new suitable ones?

Cheers

Wink

P1 18" wheels are fitted with 225/35ZR18 P-Zero's.

Apparently, anything else in that size will fould the wheel arches.

Jerry,

Nito is right, the stock nuts will not do.

Do you know any prices for Falken and Toyo 215/35/18?
Has anybody tried those tyres?
I'm a YOKOHAMA fun, those A520 were great!

Here in Sweden, both the Proxes and Falkens were alot cheaper than the P7000's.

We're talking in the region of 40 squid per tyre cheaper.

But..through a groupbuy sorta thing I've got the P7000's even cheaper than the Falkens now, a set of those is costing me around 530 squid, can't complain then can I?
