OK, before you scream get 17" alloys, Eagle Star want £240 extra if I change the size from standard.

I need 4 new tyres (hence why the wheel upgrade was considered) so will stick with the std MY95 I have. Bridgestone and Toyos are the two makes that are mentioned by the majority on the board and I value their experience.

The size I have is 205/55 x 15.

Can I fit a tyre on those 15" rims that are a lower profile, say, 50, and a wider track, say 215???

I'm not sure but I guess the wheels must be 15 x 6 (correct me please).

I could change insurer and then get the larger ones but that is a hassle. They did let me have my Magnex exhaust and Corbeau bucket sports seats
