I presume my Re010's profile of 205/50 R16
is standard?
Are tyres such as the S02,Proxys & F1 the same profile's? - Its just that the standard
Potenza's look a bit on the "tall" side and I would ideally like something with a lower profile (at the end of the day though its the grip that really matters...)

Educate me! Trevor

Cool

Hi Trevor
In answer to your basic question, yes. They are the same profile so long as you go for the '50'. I went for the Toyo's cos they were a damn good price, and they can't wear worse than the original ones.
Enjoy

Trevor,

Hi m8. I've just put some Toyo's on mine (215,40 ZR 17) The difference between 40's and 50's is noticable straight away. The smaller stiffer sidewall does improve the handling.

The Toyo's are miles better than the standard Potenzas - they grip in the wet

Question

yes but
you go 4 a 215 40 17 and the differance between the 40 and 50 is made up with the differance between the 16" rim and the 17" rim, u would not put a 40 on a 16", would you?
the over all size of the wheel is almost the same, if you put a 16" rim + tyre (50) agains a 17" rim and a 40/45 tyre!!???

am i wrong?

Hi Scotty - been past your place a couple of times this week -Do you ever get in before 9am? -must be all that extreme night-time tyre testing....

Got my scoop painted and fitted, but it looks crap - the from is flush, but the back sits on top of bonnet - Jordan's reckon they cannot hammer down flange anymore or the bonnet will crack. They are saying I need a new bonnet...(the Ins job I am trying to avoid)
You dont know any decent bodyshops that might have a better go do you?

Oh yea bye the way - any news on your mates 4-pots?

Cheers Trevor

Cool

Trevor,

Hi m8. I know a great bodyshop in Beverley. They did my STI6 spoiler!

They are, "Peter Garth", on beckside I think, the industrial est. just near roundabout bottom of flyover.

Give me a ring I've mailed you my phone numbers. I'll tell you about the 4 pots too!

Scotty
