Very Visible 'Invisible' Balancing !!!!
#1
Called in at Mitcheldever at lunch today to price up some OZ Super T Evo's (Gold) for my STi5 R Limited.
Staff were all very helpful, digging out a spare they had to let me have a look at.
The wheel had the "Stick on" balancing... Urghhhh....
Not sure if this is the "norm" but the 4-5 inch strip of bright silver balancing was very visible through the spokes...
Is this the preferred balancing, or has anyone gone for another method ???
Any help before I make the purchase would be appreciated...
Scott.

The only other way I know of is to hammer weights to the outside of rim!!!
I thought people complain when they can't get the stick on weights!!! Trust Scott to be difficult!!!
Anyway a few hundred miles later, you won't see them for brake dust!!!

It's possible to balance the wheels using hammered-on weights on the inner rim only, so you don't see them through the spokes. My dealer did this the last time and the balance is fine. Just wish previous dealers had done the same so that the outer rims wouldn't now be showing the signs of where the weights were previously

Andy.. Hey, if I wanted silver I would buy silver alloys...
Oh all right then, the brake dust should cover this in no time... I'll buy the wheels.
Expensive week this... All ready planning to order the AP-22 Performance meter. STi pedal set, millers on order
Cheers Brian, might ask Micheldever about this...
