17" wheels - whats the max width ?
#3
Hoppy, don't get me wrong there's nothing inadequate about 7", Its just that I saw Graham Goode Racing avertising 7.5Jx17 and 8Jx17 wheels on their web site ( under the scooby bit ).
I quite fancied one of them which was only available as 7.5.

Mikey, I still say what's wrong with 7in, but I know from experience (UK MY00) that there's not a lot of spare room under those rear wheel arches.
If you really must to go wider, choose your off-set carefully (50mm?) and don'y buy before trying. (A road test, including full suspension compression, is the only way.)
I dunno what others might have experienced, but my guess is that wider than 7in rims mean trouble.
