buckled 17" MIM
#1
Just had a new set of Goodyear F1 fitted at WTS all in £347, found out that the two rear wheels were slightly buckled.
Does anyone know whether they can be trued or do I need new wheels. If they can be trued, does anyoen know of a wheel specialist in the Herts area
Cheers

We've never known one of these to buckle and they are substantially stronger than many of the alternatives. At last years RAC, a friend buckled all four wheels (not MiMs) when we blasted 3 miles of forest track up to a stage carpark. The MiM shod cars were fine.
I'm sure they can be true'd but I would get a second check done first. It is difficult to fit a 215/40 and it maybe that the tyre is not sitting correctly on the rims.

Thanks for the advice guys, I will get the two wheels fitted elsewhere and see whether this solves it. The tyre fitter at WTS pointed the buckle out and said that this was a common problem with 17" wheels due to the low profile of the tyres fitter.
Anyway I will try again and see what happens
