I bought some spare wheels (with standard jap re010 tyres) for trackdays. But now I end up with 2 sets of wheels with standard RE010 tyres on them, neither of which I want but neither of which I am prepared to waste. So if I wear out one set, and get some new ones, do I then use the new SO2s, for example, on the road or track ?

 

Trig, keep the new tyres for on the road. The second set you could then get old tyres from your local tyre place, they might just charge for vales and balancing, they might want you to pay £10-£20 per wheel. But they then save you knackering you road tyres.

I agree with Danny. Why mash the SO2's. After all, trackdays are not competions. They're fun. Aren't they?
